Overview

Seamlift offers subscription-based plans for video collaboration. This Refund Policy explains when you are eligible for a refund, how to request one, and what to expect during the process.

By subscribing to any Seamlift plan, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy. Please read it carefully before making a purchase.

Free Trial

Seamlift offers a free tier that you can use indefinitely without providing payment information. We encourage you to thoroughly evaluate the platform on the free tier before upgrading to a paid plan.

If a paid plan includes a free trial period, you will not be charged until the trial ends. You may cancel at any time during the trial without being billed.

Refund Eligibility

You may be eligible for a refund in the following circumstances:

  • First-time purchase within 7 days — If you are a new paid subscriber and request a refund within 7 days of your first payment, we will issue a full refund, no questions asked.
  • Duplicate charge — If you were charged more than once for the same billing period due to a technical error, we will refund the extra charge in full.
  • Charge after cancellation — If you were billed after successfully cancelling your subscription, you are entitled to a full refund of that charge.
  • Service unavailability — If Seamlift experiences extended downtime (more than 24 cumulative hours in a billing month) due to issues on our end, you may request a pro-rated credit or refund for that period.

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

  • Renewal charges — Monthly or annual subscription renewals are non-refundable once processed, except where required by applicable law.
  • Partial months — If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access until the end of the billing period but will not receive a pro-rated refund for unused days.
  • Downgrade requests — Switching from a higher plan to a lower plan does not generate a refund for the difference; the change takes effect at the next billing cycle.
  • Unused features — Not using certain features included in your plan does not constitute grounds for a refund.
  • Requests after 7 days — Refund requests submitted more than 7 days after the charge date fall outside our standard refund window and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Cancellation

You can cancel your Seamlift subscription at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation stops future renewals — you will continue to have access to your paid plan until the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to the free tier.

Cancelling a subscription does not automatically trigger a refund. If you believe you are eligible for one under the terms above, please contact us separately.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email us at aritrasarkar2002@gmail.com with the following information:

  • The email address associated with your Seamlift account
  • The date and amount of the charge
  • The reason for your refund request
  • Your payment reference number (available in your billing history or payment confirmation email)

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 3 business days. If approved, refunds are processed back to the original payment method.

Processing Time

Once a refund is approved, the time it takes to appear in your account depends on your payment method and provider:

  • Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking) — Typically 5–7 business days to reflect in your bank account or original payment source.
  • Dodo Payments (international cards) — Typically 5–10 business days depending on your card issuer.

We have no control over your bank's processing time. If you haven't seen the refund after 10 business days, please contact your bank before reaching out to us.

Billing Disputes & Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, we strongly encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Most issues can be resolved quickly through our support channel and a direct resolution is faster than a formal dispute.

Initiating a chargeback without contacting us first may result in suspension of your Seamlift account while the dispute is under review. If the chargeback is found to be invalid, any associated fees may be passed on to you.

Indian Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer in India, you retain rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit those rights. Where applicable law grants you additional refund or cancellation rights beyond what is described here, those rights prevail. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Seamlift after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. For significant changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice within the app.
